During the time of prophet SWS, people would obey and offer prayer to the various statutes thinking that those statutes would help them to come to closure of Allah. At present many people hold such intention and go to various taguts such as Jewish go to Rabbis, Christians go to priests, Hindus go to baba and muslims go to peers thinking that they would help them in reaching the nearer to Allah. But Allah denounces all kind of intermediaries and declares that He is closure to us and if we call, he will respond.

Still they have taken other gods besides Allah, hoping to be helped ˹by them˺. They cannot help the pagans, even though they serve the idols as dedicated guards.
